  1. Aerial view of hairpin bends on a ghat roadDay 1

    Day 1

Arrival via Aliyar, Monkey Falls and the 40 hairpin bends

    • 64 km from Pollachi · 105 km from Coimbatore
    • Valparai
    • Dinner

Pickup in the morning and an easy climb with stops at Aliyar Dam, Monkey Falls (if open) and Loam's View Point. Check in by lunchtime and keep the afternoon light: Sri Balaji Temple and a walk through the estates near your stay. Evenings are cool — 16–20°C most of the year — so keep a light jacket handy.

  2. Chinnakallar falls flowing over boulders near ValparaiDay 2

    Day 2

Full-day plateau circuit: Nallamudi, Sholayar, Chinnakallar

    • About 80–90 km of local driving
    • Valparai
    • Breakfast, dinner

Leave at 6:15 AM for Nallamudi Poonjolai while the valley is still full of mist. After breakfast, drive out to Sholayar Dam and its backwaters, then Chinnakallar Falls — a short walk to boulder-strewn cascades in heavy-rainfall forest. On the way back stop at Lower Neerar Dam and Koolangal river. Late afternoon is the best time to spot gaur (Indian bison) on estate edges; we keep a respectful distance.

  3. Tea factory surrounded by plantations in ValparaiDay 3

    Day 3

Tea estates, town sights and descent

    • Descent to Pollachi (2 h) or Coimbatore (3–3.5 h)
    • Drop at pickup point
    • Breakfast

A slow morning: a tea estate walk, the Carver Marsh memorial and Annai Velankanni Church, and a stop to buy estate tea in town. Check out by 11 AM and descend the ghat, reaching Pollachi by mid-afternoon.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Can't find yours? Ask us on WhatsApp — a real person replies.

Is 3 days too long for Valparai?

No — three days is the sweet spot if you want sunrise viewpoints, waterfalls and time to relax. Two days covers the highlights; three days lets you enjoy them. Read how many days you need.

Can we add Athirappilly to the 3 days 2 nights package?

Yes. Day 2 or 3 can run over Malakkappara to Athirappilly and Vazhachal falls. The forest road is day-time only, so we plan timings around the checkposts.

Which is better, 3 days in Valparai or Valparai with Topslip?

Choose 3 days in Valparai for viewpoints and slow travel; choose Valparai with Topslip if a forest safari matters more to you.

Do you arrange tea factory visits?

Some estate factories allow visits with prior permission. We check for your dates; if a visit is not possible we arrange tea tasting and buying in town instead.
