Climb the 40 bends from Pollachi and leave through the forest to Athirappilly.
The Valparai Athirappilly tour package is a 3 days 2 nights one-way journey: up from Pollachi via Aliyar and the 40 hairpin bends, a full day on the Valparai plateau, then down through Sholayar, Malakkappara and the Vazhachal forest to Athirappilly and Vazhachal falls. It ends at Chalakudy, Kochi airport or back in Coimbatore. The forest road is daytime-only.
Day 1Day 1
Morning pickup, Aliyar Dam, Monkey Falls if open and the climb with Loam's View Point. Afternoon at Koolangal river and Sri Balaji Temple.
Day 2Day 2
Sunrise at Nallamudi Poonjolai, Chinnakallar Falls, Lower Neerar and an estate walk. We keep Sholayar Dam for tomorrow since it is on the way out.
Day 3Day 3
Leave by 7 AM. Sholayar Dam viewpoint, the Malakkappara border estates and a long forest descent with Charpa and Vazhachal falls by the road. Spend time at Athirappilly — the viewpoint at the top, and the path to the base when it is open. Kochi airport is about 1.5 hours away; Coimbatore via Thrissur–Palakkad is 4–4.5 hours.

Nice arrangements were made from pickup to drop. A 3 days trip with 2 night stay at Valparai was a pleasent experience. Experienced driver shown all the site seeings including the drive to athirappilly falls was wonderful experience. Nice hospitality from Mr.Mahesh and his driver Mr.Rajagopal. Overall had good memories.
