    • Valparai
    • Dinner

Pickup by 7 AM in Coimbatore (8 AM in Pollachi) keeps you ahead of the weekend traffic on the ghat. Breakfast in Pollachi, a stop at Aliyar Dam, Monkey Falls if it is open, then the climb with a pause at Loam's View Point. After lunch and check-in, spend the afternoon at Koolangal river and Sri Balaji Temple, and take an evening walk on the estate roads near your stay.

  2. Sholayar Dam near ValparaiDay 2

    • About 60 km of local sightseeing + descent
    • Drop by 6–7 PM

Leave at 6 AM for Nallamudi Poonjolai, when the valley below is usually full of mist, then breakfast and a drive to Sholayar Dam and its backwaters. Check out by noon and start down after lunch. Sunday afternoons are busy on the ghat, so we build in time and aim to reach Pollachi by 5 PM and Coimbatore by 6–7 PM, early enough for a Sunday-night bus or train.

What's included

What's included

  • Private AC vehicle with an experienced hill driver for the entire trip
  • Pickup and drop at your chosen point (home, hotel, railway station, bus stand or airport within the start city)
  • Hotel, homestay or resort stay in the category you choose (twin/triple sharing)

  • Fuel, driver bata, toll, parking and inter-state permit
  • Local route guidance from our naturalist-led team

  • Lunch, snacks and meals not mentioned
  • Personal expenses, tips and anything not listed under inclusions
  • Extra costs caused by landslides, road closures or forest-department restrictions

Good to know

  • Weekend and holiday room rates are higher than weekday rates, and the best tea-view rooms sell out first.
  • From Bengaluru or Chennai, take a Friday-night bus or train to Coimbatore and the package starts when you arrive. See from Bangalore and from Chennai.
  • On long weekends the ghat is slow on Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons, so early starts matter.
