From Chennai, the best way to Valparai is an overnight train or a flight to Coimbatore (or a train to Pollachi); this package starts when you arrive there. Road travel from Chennai is not included by default — it is about 540–560 km (10–11 hours) — but door pickup can be added. The standard plan is 3 days 2 nights in Valparai with stay, meals and sightseeing.
This package starts at Coimbatore (airport or Coimbatore Junction) or Pollachi Junction — your train or flight from Chennai is not included. Most Chennai guests take an overnight train (for example to Coimbatore) and meet our driver on the platform at 6–7 AM. If you'd rather be driven from Chennai, we can add door pickup (usually as a 4 days 3 nights plan with an overnight halt or a very early start).

Meet our driver at Coimbatore Junction or the airport (or Pollachi Junction). Freshen up and breakfast in Pollachi, then Aliyar, Monkey Falls and the climb. Early check-in where possible — you've travelled overnight.
Day 2Day 2
Sunrise at Nallamudi Poonjolai while mist fills the valley, breakfast, then Sholayar Dam and its backwaters, Chinnakallar Falls if time and weather allow, Sri Balaji Temple and a paddle at Koolangal river. Evening walk on estate roads near your stay.
Day 3Day 3
A morning estate walk and tea shopping, then down to Coimbatore by evening for the overnight train or a flight to Chennai.

Booked 5 days 4 nights tour package with family of 6 persons and 2 kids from Chennai.Family and enjoyed the beautiful sightseeings of valparai parambikulam athirapally falls.special mention they given a very good stay for 4 nights with breathtaking views and parambikulam stay arranged by Mahesh sir was highly appreciated.As Mahesh sir was a naturalist with him as a cab driver for our 5 days trip was very informative and we doesn't see a person with tons of knowledge in wildlife and local insights. We enjoyed many wildlife spottings elephant,leopard,sloth bear,wild dogs,great Indian guar,lion tailed macaque,giant squirrel, and many birds etc in this tour with help of Mahesh.He is very good guide and good friend I had got from valparai. Food provided in the package was very excellent and home made local stuff.Special mention on time food was delivered to room.Non veg was very tasty as we paid that belongs to our request. We enjoyed local cusines,bamboo rafting,tribal dance,tribal people visit, with help of Mahesh and stay given inside the forest was highly recommend by this travels. My best friend and I visited valparai in August 2025 from chennai for which we sought valparai mahesh Travels. And I must say that mahesh Travels has been truly wonderful in assisting, planning; and commuting throughout our trip. We visited Valparai, parambikulam and Athirapally waterfalls in which valparai and parambikulam were done with valparai mahesh Travels. The cab that was given to us was Toyota Etios which was extremely comfortable and clean for my best friend and I. Our cabbie, mahesh anna, has been supremely sweet and vigilant about our itinerary and other travel needs. We did not miss out on any scenic views thanks to him. His driving was very safe, given the hilly areas are always a bit risky. But he drove us even at odd hours and it was always very safe and conscious. Valparai Mahesh Travels in very accommodating to our questions at odd hours as well, being available 24x7. Valparai and nearby places is a very beautiful nature with serene views and natural surroundings. We are very happy with our trip. As the tourism ad says, it is truly god’s land..
