What's included

What's included

  • Private AC vehicle with an experienced hill driver for the entire trip
  • Pickup and drop at your chosen point (home, hotel, railway station, bus stand or airport within the start city)
  • Resort room, suite or cottage in the category you choose
  • Breakfast and dinner at the resort
  • Fuel, driver bata, toll, parking and inter-state permit
  • WhatsApp support before and during the trip

Not included

  • Entry tickets, forest safaris, boating and camera fees
  • Lunch, snacks and meals not mentioned
  • Personal expenses, tips and anything not listed under inclusions
  • Extra costs caused by landslides, road closures or forest-department restrictions
  • Resort activities charged by the property (campfire, spa or guided walks, where offered)

Good to know

  • Valparai's resorts are small and few, and the good rooms sell out on weekends, so book 3–4 weeks ahead.
  • Many resorts sit on estate roads a short drive from town. The cab stays with you, so the distance doesn't matter.
  • Campfires depend on the property's permissions and the weather.

We booked our Valparai trip through Mahesh Tours and Travels, and the experience was absolutely amazing. Mahesh uncle took us to all the places, and every spot was truly beautiful. He handled everything in a very polite, calm, and professional manner. The entire trip felt safe and secure from start to finish. He never rushed us or made the trip feel like a formality. Without any hurry or pressure, he patiently took us around and ensured we enjoyed every place properly. He carefully selected locations especially for us and guided us only to the best and most worthwhile spots. One of the most unforgettable moments of this trip was seeing elephants from a very close distance. It was a lifetime experience that we will never forget. Mahesh uncle also explained a lot about animals during the journey, shared their names, and gave us interesting information throughout the trip. Even when we felt sick, he never panicked or hurried us. He waited patiently and took care of everything very responsibly. During the drop as well, he ensured we reached safely, and we completed the trip happily and peacefully. Special thanks to Mahesh uncle, for making our Valparai trip so safe, comfortable, and unforgettable. This beautiful experience, especially the elephant sighting, will stay with us for a lifetime. Overall, this was a memorable and well-organized trip. Special thanks to Mahesh uncle for making our Valparai journey so comfortable, safe, and unforgettable. FAQ

Questions, answered

Can't find yours? Ask us on WhatsApp — a real person replies.

Are there good resorts in Valparai?

Yes, though fewer than in Ooty or Munnar. Options range from estate-view resorts near town to cottages and heritage bungalows in the estates. We recommend one based on your budget and group.

Is a resort or a hotel in town better?

Resorts give you views, space and on-site dining; town hotels are cheaper and within walking distance of restaurants. See where to stay in Valparai.

Can we get a resort with a campfire?

Some properties host campfires when the weather and rules allow. See the campfire and food package.

Is this the same as the luxury package?

No. This package uses mid-range resorts. The luxury resort package uses the top rooms and premium SUVs.
